Having roleplayed by skype on monday (the ALFIES VBCW game – it was rather good details here: http://alfiesantics.wordpress.com/2011/01/11/operation-aphid-part-1/ ) for a change my regular combatant and I mucked around on the XBOX. Not that I have one but he has 2 kids and we borrowed there’s.
The games were:
- Battlefield 1943 (unsophisticated fun)
- Red Redemption (I can see what the fuss is about, the game didn’t like 2 Xboxes in the same room and I got a bit annoyed with the amount of time I became Cougar fodder but heck it’s beautiful.)
- Battlefield Bad Company – which was hectic and had such things as artillery peices you could commander which is probably nothign new to computer gamers but I quite enjoyed.
All in all it was a very pleasant evening – can’t see myself ordering an Xbox or PS3 anytime soon (or, you know, ever) but a pleasant change.
Back to Toy Soldiers next week!
